Guadalupe Church Plant

Greetings in Christ!

We are the Molina Family. My name is Peter, my wife is Trisha and our son is Monty. Trisha and I have been called to plant a church in the Town of Guadalupe with a vision to reach multicultural groups. We will be launching this church plant from First Baptist Church of Tempe under the oversight and coaching of Pastor Roger Ball.

This dream to plant has been in our hearts for years and after prayerful consideration and by the grace of God we are working to build this dream into a reality.

Trisha and I have stories that God has married together to prepare us to lead this church plant. Trisha’s story involves growing up in Maryvale, battling a brain tumor, facing failing schools and becoming a first generation college graduate. My story involves growing up in Guadalupe, experiencing the long term effects of my parents divorce, being surrounded by “the cycle of poverty,” and excelling in sports. Through the work of God we overcome trials and look ahead!

In our past ministry work, we led a youth ministry in South Phoenix for nearly seven years. There, we walked the streets and visited the homes of youth surrounded by community violence. We also spent time mentoring youth in Guadalupe. We were both heartbroken to witness the stronghold that Satan has on families in Guadalupe.

Guadalupe is a small town but it packs a punch in the way that it is influenced by or interacts with the surrounding communities. Many people from different walks of life visit Guadalupe to volunteer, research, shop, or attend community events.

We are excited to see God lead this church plant for his glory and we are eager to do this work, but we can’t do it alone. To be well equipped, our greatest needs are for prayer partners and for financial support partners.

We ask you to prayerfully consider supporting us - in prayer or as a monthly financial supporter. With your help we will reach Guadalupe with the Gospel!

In Christ,

Peter and Trisha Molina
