Ministering to The Sick

… your faith has made you well; go in peace and be healed of your affliction (Mark 5:34).

From physicians to homeopathic specialists, I’ve never met anyone who heals the sick like Jesus did.  Even our most gifted surgeons could not begin to compare to the divine nature of Jesus Christ.  However, our inability to minister to the sick, by healing them as Jesus did, should not produce in us an unwillingness to minister to them altogether.

There are many people that are part of the family of FBC that are struggling with sickness; some of whom will die very soon.  As you remain diligent to study God’s Word and engage in fellowship throughout the week, and on Sunday, please do not forget these dear members of the body.  Please know that those suffering from affliction need your compassion, grace and mercy in their life.

Please contact me if your Sunday School Class or OCG would like some names of people, who you can pray for, that are struggling with illnesses.

Casual Leader Lunch

I’ll be heading to Fuddruckers on Priest and Elliot after church services (12:30 pm) on Sunday May 30th if anyone is interested in joining me.  I like to do this a few times a year just to get all the education leaders together for a casual lunch … I promise there will be no meeting agenda.  The portions are big and prices are reasonable.  Please let me know if you plan on being there (480-246-2251).

VP team

FBC has an active outreach team that we call the “VP team”.  The VP team (visitation and prayer) heads out every OTHER Monday night to do exciting ministry.  The team visits guests to FBC, shut-ins and those who are afflicted.  The team conducts visitation for purposes of praying with people and potentially sharing the message of Jesus Christ with them.  Please let me know if you’d like to be part of this exciting front-lines ministry team!

Thanks for your ministry!

My cell phone (480-246-2251) is always on, I keep regular office hours and I check email regularly … please CONTACT ME AT ANY TIME with feedback or just to chat.
